  • Dr. Remeek Abdalla has been a trusted GP at Alpha-Cure for over 10 years, providing comprehensive, patient-centred care across all age groups.
  • She is joined by Dr. Kowshika Gopal and Dr. Wahida Khanam, who have both been part of our team since 2024.
    • Dr. Gopal brings a thorough, empathetic approach to general practice.
    • Dr. Khanam has a special interest in preventative health and women’s health.

Appointments

Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP. Appointment has priority over walk-in patients. Emergencies will always be given priority and our reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or cancellation. If you or a family member requires an interpreter service, we can organise this for you. Please let us know when you make the appointment. You may chose  to book online using HealthEngine.

Afterhours care and home visits

During after-hours, patients can have access to ISRA Medical Services. Ring 9759 5436 to call a doctor to your home or head to  96A Haldon Street Lakemba 2195 .

At this stage, no home visits are available during working hours except for exceptional cases as advised by the practicing GP. Phone consultations are available as an alternative where the practicing GP can advise if face-to-face consultation is required and how to arrange for that.

Telephone access

Phone consultations are available by appointment. GPs in this Practice may be hard to reach during the face-to-face consultations time. A message will be taken, and the reception staff will advise you when it is likely that the GP can provide feedback to the query. In an emergency, please call “000” though our clinical team can provide assistant over the phone or call “000” on your behalf. You may reach us by recorded phone message afterhours, or by email in which case the Practice team will read and action your message the next business day.

This Practice has a no smoking, no eating policy in all areas

Reminder system

This Practice is committed to preventative care. We may issue you with a reminder notice from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. If you do not wish to be part of this system, please let your doctor or receptionist know. Reminders may be on in a form of SMS via Health Engine or direct call from the Practice.

Patient violence

The Practice has zero tolerance policy towards violence or inappropriate behaviour and may result in Practice staff initiating call to 000 immediately and/or doctor discontinued care.

Pathology and radiology reports

As a standard policy, The GP must authorise the release of investigation reports to patients. This is typically after the patient has discussed the results with the GP in a consultation. The release of the test results is in a form of printout or email to the patient. Release of investigation reports to third party requires a signed consent from the patient.

Management of your personal health information

Your medical record is a confidential document. It is always the Practice policy to maintain the security of personal health information and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff. Click here to read our Privacy Policy.
